Terms of Use
Last Updated on July 24, 2026
Welcome to the AD Keeps The Books website. I am Aretha Dirde, the owner and bookkeeper here, and this page explains the terms that apply when you use this site. By browsing the pages, reading the service and industry information, filling out a form, or booking a consultation with me, you agree to what follows.
These terms are written plainly on purpose, the same way I try to explain a monthly report to the practice owners I work with. If any part of them does not sit right with you, please do not use the site. You are also welcome to email me with a question before you go any further.
1. Using This Website
This site exists to explain the bookkeeping work I do for mental health practices and to make it easy for a practice owner to reach me. You agree to use it for lawful purposes only and in a way that does not interfere with anyone else's use of it.
A few specific things are not allowed.
- Attempting to reach areas of the site, its systems, or any connected account that are not meant for public use
- Sending viruses, malicious code, or anything else built to damage or disrupt the site
- Scraping, harvesting, or copying content in bulk, whether by hand or with automated tools
- Using a contact form or any other feature of the site to send spam, harassment, or misleading messages
- Presenting yourself as me, as AD Keeps The Books, or as a client of the practice
2. Nothing on This Site Is Professional Advice
Everything you read here, including the service pages and the pages written for specific professions and practice types, is general information about bookkeeping for private practice. It is not bookkeeping, accounting, tax, legal, or clinical advice for your particular practice, and it should not be relied on that way.
I do not prepare tax returns. I keep books tax-ready so your tax preparer has clean numbers to work from. Questions about filing, entity structure, worker classification, licensing, or anything clinical belong with the licensed professional who handles that area for you. If you want guidance on your own books, book a consultation and we can look at your actual numbers together.
3. No Bookkeeping Relationship Until It Is in Writing
Reading this website, sending me a message, or meeting with me for a consultation does not by itself make you a client. I take on work through a written agreement that spells out the services, the schedule, and the fees. Until that agreement is in place, I carry no responsibility for your books, your records, or any deadline that applies to your practice.
4. Service Descriptions and Pricing
The service descriptions and prices on this site are meant to give you an honest starting point so you know roughly what to expect before we ever talk. A price listed as starting at a certain amount is exactly that, a starting point, and catch-up and clean-up projects are quoted per engagement after I look at what already exists. Nothing on this site is a binding quote or an offer to contract.
I may add, adjust, or retire services and update pricing at any time, and the site may not reflect a change right away. Your actual scope and fee are the ones written into the agreement we both sign.
5. Information You Send Through This Site
Please keep anything you send through this website general. Do not send client or patient names, session notes, chart records, or other sensitive health information through a contact form or an unsecured email. The same goes for bank login credentials, full account numbers, and other sensitive financial details.
Once we start working together, I will show you where documents belong and how to give me the access I need for your books. Information you do send through this site is handled as described in my Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual Property
The text, images, design, and layout of this website belong to AD Keeps The Books unless noted otherwise, and they are protected by copyright. You are welcome to read the site, share a link to it, or print a page for your own reference. You may not copy, republish, or reuse the content for your own business or website without written permission from me.

I mention them because I am QuickBooks ProAdvisor certified at Level 2 with a Gold Badge, not to suggest that Intuit sponsors or endorses this website. 7. Links to Other Websites
This site may link to websites I do not own or control, such as scheduling tools, software providers, or resources a practice owner might find useful. I am not responsible for their content, their pricing, their security, or how they handle your information. Read their own terms and privacy policies before you use them.
8. Disclaimers
This website is provided as is and as available. I work to keep the information here accurate and current, and I still cannot promise that every page is complete, error-free, or fully up to date. I also cannot promise the site will always be available or free of interruptions. Any decision you make based on what you read here is your own.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, AD Keeps The Books and Aretha Dirde are not liable for any loss or damages arising from your use of this website, from anything you read on it, or from any inability to access it. That includes lost revenue, lost data, and indirect or incidental damages.
This section covers the website only. The responsibilities that come with actual bookkeeping, payroll, or clean-up work are set out in the written agreement between us.
10. Governing Law
I work from Lancaster, California, and serve practice owners across the United States. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute involving this website will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Los Angeles County, California.
11. Changes to These Terms
I may update these terms as the website and the services change. When that happens, the revised version is posted on this page and the Last Updated date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the current terms, so a quick look now and then is worth your time.
12. Contact
If anything here needs clarifying, email me at info@adkeepsthebooks.com and I will get back to you.
